VAPORESSO VECO GO KIT
The VAPORESSO VECO GO KIT is one of the newest pod vapes from the well-known and popular Vaporesso brand, although it could technically be described as a vape pen. Anyone familiar with Vaporesso devices will notice that this is a bit of a change in style, and although it sits alongside similar small and discreet vapes like the GTX GO and Sky Solo, it doesn’t look quite like anything the company has produced before.

The VAPORESSO VECO GO KIT is described as a pen-style vape by its makers, and technically I suppose it is, even if it does feel a bit chunky to truly be included in that category of vapes. I used a GTX GO 40 for a while, also considered a pen-style, and the VAPORESSO VECO GO KIT GO has a very similar feel when held in my hand, even down to the weight.
The VAPORESSO VECO GO KIT is a nicely designed device, although it doesn’t stray far from the tried and tested style formula of this style of vape. But why should it? I’m all for innovation in vape design, but out of all the many different form factors I have tried, tall, slim, and cylindrical is still the one I find most comfortable to use.
At just over 110mm long and 23mm wide, it should fit comfortably into most hands and pockets and is probably short enough to be almost entirely concealed if you want to do a bit of discreet vaping.
The body is constructed from Zinc Alloy with a smooth but slightly matte finish. This material, combined with the solid weight of the device, gives it a very robust feel. It certainly doesn’t feel like it would break from a few accidental drops.
The base of the vape, made from black hardened plastic, tapers slightly. I understand this is probably to make the vape more comfortable to hold or have in your pocket. But as someone who has my vape standing on a desk all day, the narrower the base, the more likely it will topple over 4 times an hour. Thankfully, the width and length (and low center of gravity) of the VAPORESSO VECO GO KIT mean that this isn’t a huge problem here.
The vape is available in several different color finishes. There are nine to choose from, ranging from the more understated black or gray to bright green or orange. The colors are applied as gradients, fading from dark to light along the length of the body (or, as in a couple of cases, fading from one color to another.) This gives them a more attractive look than a device coated in a solid color.
Pods
The pods for the VAPORESSO VECO GO KIT are possibly its most appealing and unique features. As with many modern pod or pen-style vapes, they attach magnetically and are made from translucent gray/black plastic so you can easily see how much liquid is inside. The drip tip is a slightly flattened cylinder, somewhere between the duck-bill and e-cigarette styles.
That all sounds pretty standard until you realize that the pods hold up to 5ml of vape liquid. That’s as much as two and a half times the capacity of similar pen-style devices and even many more complex and expensive vapes. During my testing of the device, a full pod regularly lasted two days before needing to be topped up, and even heavy users should be able to get away with only having to refill once a day.
The pods use pre-fitted coils of either 0.6 or 0.8ohm, although you only get the 0.6ohm version in the box with the vape. You can buy a pack of two replacement pods fairly cheaply, but thanks to the COREX heating technology used inside the coils, you might not need to do that as often as you might expect.
Vaporesso’s COREX technology is a combination of features, including a uniquely designed Morph-Mesh coil and highly absorbent Cumulus cotton, designed to increase flavor consistency and prolong the lifespan of the pod. After well over a week of use, I can attest to these promises, with every puff still tasting as good as the first and no hint of the pod needing to be replaced.
About a third of the overall length of the pod slots into the body, where it is held in place with magnets. I always find it annoying having to pull a pod out to check how much liquid remains, but that isn’t a problem with the VECO GO. The majority of your 5ml of vape juice is visible at all times. The pods are bottom-filled via the commonly used hinged silicone bung. Thankfully, the filling hole is relatively large, which helps avoid spillages when using juice bottles without a needle nozzle.
Features
The VAPORESSO VECO GO KIT is aimed at beginners or those wanting a simple vape experience. As such, it isn’t packed with complex features. The device is draw-activated, so there isn’t even a button to press. Aside from the USB-C port on the bottom, and a multi-color LED strip, there’s little to see apart from the airflow hole.
Rather than going down the route of simple holes in the body that can be covered by your finger to tighten the draw, the VECO GO uses a much more adjustable airflow slider. You adjust the slider by twisting the pod in its magnetic holder; twist the pod left for more airflow and twist it right for less. It’s a neat system that keeps the outside of the device free from additional knobs or toggles.
As mentioned above, there is also an LED strip at the bottom of the device, just above the base section. This lights up when you draw on the vape, changing color to let you know when the battery level is getting low.
Battery Life & Charging
Another nice-to-see feature of the VAPORESSO VECO GO KIT, often lacking in similar devices, is the generous and long-lasting 1500mAh battery.
Vaporesso suggests that a full charge can give you three days of vaping, but it’s worth remembering that this claim is made about the 0.8ohm pod, with the airflow fully closed. Using the 0.6ohm pod and with the airflow half open, I found the average to be closer to two days.
The battery is charged via USB-C and can be used with 2A cables and adapters. That means fast charging times of around 35-40 minutes from empty if you have the correct kit. It also allows you to vape while charging (known as passthrough charging) if you can’t wait for the battery to completely refill.
Performance
With only sub-ohm pods available for the VAPORESSO VECO GO KIT, I decided to avoid trying it with nic salt liquids. Freebase liquids commonly perform better in lower-resistance coils, and I would certainly recommend this type of juice for the 0.6ohm pod. I tested it with 50PG/50VG liquids, and also with a 70/30 liquid, both of which performed and tasted as expected. I see no reason why you couldn’t use 80/20 or any other ratio liquid with this vape.
Tailoring the airflow for a looser or tighter draw is very simple. When the airflow is fully closed you get a great MTL vape, even with the low-resistance coil. Switching to an RDL-style vaping experience is as easy as twisting the pod the opposite way to expose some or all of the holes.
The COREX coils seem very efficient, vaporizing the e-liquid consistently and producing good flavor. The throat hit from a 50/50 liquid was satisfying, and it’s possible to blow some decent clouds, should you wish to. It won’t compare with a 150W sub-ohm box mod in this respect, but from a pen-style vape, it’s impressive how much it fills your lungs.
Draw activation was quick and flawless, with none of the slight firing delay you sometimes find with vapes of this type. Even with the airflow wide open, the VAPORESSO VECO GO KIT feels ultra-responsive.
As mentioned earlier, the pods are filled from the bottom. This can sometimes lead to leaks, but it doesn’t seem to be a problem with the VAPORESSO VECO GO KIT. The SSS system Vaporesso uses on several of their pod vapes, designed to seal and separate liquid from airflow, works well here. I occasionally saw a small amount of liquid on the bottom of the pod when it was removed, but not enough to concern me.
This vape has a maximum power level of 25W and, although there’s no way to manually change it, this will vary depending on the pod you are using. It undoubtedly burns through battery power faster when using the 0.6ohm pod with a lot of airflow. But I didn’t experience any loss of flavor when the battery level was low, so I could happily vape right down to a red battery light without noticing a difference in taste.
